One's Bad to the Bone, the second is Ironic and the third is the Man from Down Under. What do they have in common?

They're the three international artists coming to Taupo in January, with pre-sale tickets going on sale today.

Concert organisers Greenstone Entertainment Ltd have announced the 2018 Taupo Summer Concert at the Taupo Amphitheatre will feature George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Alanis Morissette and Colin Hay of Men At Work fame.

The three acts, with a huge range of hits between them, will be hitting New Zealand for a three-date national tour, with concerts in Taupo, Queenstown and Whitianga.

The 2018 concerts will feature the hard-driving powerful rock and blues of George Thorogood & The Destroyers, the multi-talented and one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music, Morissette, and the unmistakable voice and lead singer of one of the most successful Australian bands in Hay.

It will be seven years since George Thorogood & The Destroyers last performed in New Zealand. Their 20 albums include six gold and two platinum discs, and have sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The band has amassed a huge catalogue of hits which have been the staple of rock radio stations for years, including

Colin Hay is responsible for some of the most identifiable sounds in pop music, including hit songs Down Under, Be Good Johnny and Who Can It Be Now.

Greenstone Entertainment Amanda Calvert said she was excited to announce the summer concert tour line up.
