5 things to do on Christmas Day

STROLL: Rotorua is blessed with a selection of great spots for a post-lunch walk.

So you've opened all the presents, played with all your new toys and eaten all the turkey. What's next? Here's five things to do in Rotorua this Christmas Day.

-Get sporty. Nothing beats a family game of backyard cricket, petanque or touch rugby.

-Blob in front of the TV. The Queen's Christmas message screens at 6.50pm while there are kid-friendly movies on all afternoon including classics The Goonies and The Parent Trap. If you're still awake as it approaches 9pm, try The Blind Side or Les Miserables.

-Take time to reflect and give thanks for what you have. Whether it be in your own space or at one of the Christmas Day church services in the city.
