Police have found about 100 cannabis plants in the Matahina Forest area, near Kawerau - as part of their ongoing inquiries in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

They have also arrested another two men in relation to Operation Notus, a six-month investigation into organised crime and drugs in the region which culminated in raids of 38 addresses yesterday.

Two men, aged 33 and 60, were arrested today in Whakatane.

They will appear in Rotorua District Court tomorrow on charges including supplying, possession for supply and offering to supply methamphetamine.

Thirty-four people were arrested yesterday, which brings the total number of arrests so far to 36.
