Friday, Dec 3: Students of the noted singer and teacher Evelyn Falconer will take part in the St Lukes Lunchtime Concert. The programme will include arias and ballads and all students have recently passed the prestigious Trinity Guildhall examination. Held at the St Lukes Anglican

Saturday, Dec 4: The Rotorua Christmas Parade is a free fun family event to get the Christmas Spirit flowing this December. Starting from 12pm at Rangiuru St. Visit www.christmasparade.co.nz for more details.
Saturday, Dec 4: The Blue Lake Sprint Regatta 2 is a kayaking event open to all members of the public affiliated to Canoe Racing New Zealand. It is open and free to all spectators. The event involves kayak sprint paddlers of all ages and abilities, from the 9 or 10-year-old novice through to Olympic hopefuls.

Saturday, Dec 4: Trunk, Junk and Whanau Day is a carboot sale held by Rotokawa School. There will also be food stalls, bottle auction, grocery raffles, kapa haka performance, face painting, bouncy castle and a children's book launch. Start from 8am-11am at the Rotokawa School Grounds. Saturday, Dec 4: The Rotorua North Rotary Club Charity Flea Market. Open every Saturday next to the playground in Kuirau Park from 7am-1.30pm. A huge range of produce, food, goods and entertainment.
Saturday, Dec 4: The Friends of the Library Book Sale. At the old Tea Kiosk in Kuirau Park from 9am - 1pm. Thousands of books at bargain prices. All proceeds to the Rotorua District Library.

Saturday, Dec 4 - Sunday, Dec 5: The Rotorua Society of Model Engineers Open Weekend. There will be miniature steam trains for the whole family to look at and have a ride on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. $2 a ride, free for under 5s.
