Beyonce is finally pregnant!

The biggest news to come out of the 2011 Video Music Awards has to be the the baby bump R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles shared with audience members all over the world.

The not-so-subtle announcement was emotionally amazing.

As Beyonce hit the stage to sing her song Love on Top she said "I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me" - giving a hint of what was to come.

Despite the energetic, passionate and mind-blowing performance, the best part came at the end.

About 4 minutes and 20 seconds after she got on stage, the singer/songwriter/actress/businesswoman dropped her microphone with a smile from ear to ear, unbuttoned her sparkly jacket revealing her baby bump and rubbing her tummy before breaking out with laughter.

When the cameras shifted from Beyonce to her husband, hip hop mogul Jay Z, he looked as though he no longer had to keep the secret he had been wanting to scream out to the world.

His excitement and love couldn't be hidden. There you saw the big man himself beaming, clapping his hands and being knocked around by an equally excited Kanye West.

The whole thing brought tears to my eyes.

The impact of that announcement can be measured by the amount of Facebook posts and Tweets from around the world, in many languages talking about how people got goosebumps from the announcement, sharing the video clip and congratulating the successful couple.

Shortly after the unexpected announcement the top search in Google when you typed in Beyonce was Beyonce pregnant - again proving the scale of the news.

So, after a long and successful music career and a never-ending supply of pregnancy rumours, Beyonce has unexpectedly announced that she and her equally successful husband rapper/entrepreneur/hip hop mogul Jay Z are expecting their first child.

How musically talented and business-minded is this musical love-child going to be?

He or she is sure to be Destiny's Child born into hip hop royalty.
