Womad has released its day schedule for the 2017 festival.

Held over three days from March 17-19 at the 55-acre Brooklands Park and TSB Bowl of Brooklands, New Plymouth, the event will feature 53 acts from 21 countries including ska legends The Specials.

The day schedule is as follows (artists in alphabetical order):

FRIDAY
Archie Roach, BAYNK, Inna Modja, La Mambanegra, Marlon Williams, Mercedes Peón, Nattali Rize, Sinkane, Sudha Ragunathan, The Specials

SATURDAY
9Bach, Ana Tijoux, Archie Roach, Aziza Brahim, Brushy one string, Emir Kusturica & the No Smoking Orchestra, Hanoi Masters, La Mambanegra, Lord Echo , Mercedes Peón, Mt Eden, Oumou Sangaré, Rob Ruha, Sinkane, Swamp Thing, TAGO, The East Pointers, The Hot 8 Brass Band, The New Zealand Dance Company - Brouhaha, The Soil, The Swan Sisters, Warsaw Village Band

SUNDAY

The full stage schedule will be released in the last week of January.

The maximum capacity for Womad is 12,500 ticket holders per day. The Womad campsite is situated next to the festival within the New Plymouth Racecourse and TSB Stadium.

Announced today, the line-up includes BAYNK, aka New Zealander Jock Nowell-Usticke, who has reached the Top 10 in Spotify's NZ Viral 50 twice and accumulated over 1.3 million Spotify plays.
