Friday Apr 1: The 2011 Eve Rimmer Games: Have a Go Day Sports Day for people with disabilities.  Try sailing, bowls, croquet, boccia and petanque and even get reduced prices on entry to the famous Blue Baths. Saturday Apr 2: The Rotorua North Rotary Club Charity Flea Market. Open every Saturday next to the playground in Kuirau Park from 7am-1.30pm. A huge range of produce, food, goods and entertainment.
Saturday Apr 2: Copious Ale - a rock band from Rotorua - are performing at Ngongotaha's Kalah Bar on Saturday. Free entry.
Saturday Apr 2: Frocks on Bikes from the carpark at Skyline Skyrides between 2pm and 3.30pm.  A stylish ride along the cycleway out to Ngongotaha. We will end up at Essence cafe so bring some money for food and drinks. Everyone is welcome and party frocks is the theme. Contact Kylie Lang (07) on 351 8685.
Saturday Apr 2: The Winter Cross Country Open Day for children and adults.  The Lake City Athletics Club,  Neil Hunt Park, off Tarawera Rd. This is a free event at 1.45pm. Contact Kerris on 021753691 or email swingmills@xtra.co.nz or go to the website www.lakecity.co.nz.
Saturday Apr 2-3: The Whakatane Community Orchestra and Guests presents the Autumn Serenade concert. Held at the Church of St George & St John from 7.30pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Contact Warner Haldane on (07) 308 0215.
Sunday Apr 3: Live Music at Seismic Gastrobar with special guest Russell Harrison for your dining and drinking pleasure. With soulful music and the fabulous tone of Russell's voice - you won't want to be anywhere else. From 2pm - 5pm. Entry is free.
Sunday Apr 3: The Rotorua Jazz Club are hosting Wellington band City Jazz. They play standard dixie and swing/dance music of the 1900s as Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Check it out in the Arawa Lounge at the Rotorua Racecourse from 5pm to 8pm. Cost is $15 or $8 for members. Drinks and food available. Contact John Pinfold on (07) 347 4151 for further details.
Sunday Apr 3: Meridian Kids Bike Jams in the Whakarewarewa Forest from 9am to 1pm. The Meridian Kids Bike Jams are a unique opportunity for young kids to go wild on their bikes in seven centres around New Zealand from March until may 2011. For more information, visit www.kidsbikejams.co.nz.

Visual art from New Zealand's top secondary school art students features in this touring exhibition of art folios, all of which gained excellence for their work at NCEA level three in 2010. Adults $12.50, children (5-18 yrs) $5.50. Family discounts available. At the Rotorua Museum of Art and History between 9am-5pm daily.
