"It's very much a family fun day and it's supported by the different organisations who work in the transport industry.
"Last year we turned up at 7.30am and there were already a dozen trucks parked up. Good Friday is a day they get to clean up their trucks, they spend all day shining it up, making it presentable."
Children of all ages can get rides in the cabs, each ride is about 3km. Band Native Soulz will be performing in the afternoon and the truck drivers can take part in a quiz night that evening at Cheers.
Mr McCaull said they were expecting 100 trucks plus 60 cars and 60 bikes to park up. The event starts at 10am with vehicles arriving in the hours leading up to that.
"Last year a dad went for a ride in four different trucks - he was a big kid," Mr McCaull said.
Rigs and Rides is from 10am to 2pm in the Cheers car park, Ward Ave.
