Friday, Nov 12: The Rotorua Musical Theatre will be holding a workshop for auditions for Cats, the musical, at Rotorua Intermediate before the actual auditions on November 13. The workshop times are 6.30pm for dancers and 7.45pm for movers. A vocal lesson will be given after the dance workshop. Friday, Nov 12: Friday After Five - DJ Nu-Money will be spinning the decks for the best after work drinks on a Friday night - with drink specials from 5pm to 7pm, including draws and giveaways.
Saturday, Nov 13: Learn to use sign language with your hearing baby at the Baby Talk Workshop at Rotorua Parents Centre Rooms - level 2, 304 Pukuatua St. The workshop will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Cost is $15 per single or $20 per couple for Rotorua Parent Centre members and $25 per single or $30 per couple for non-members. Book now as places are limited. Saturday, Nov 13: Global Fest 2010 at the Rotorua International Stadium, Devon St. Will be the third event of its kind and will involve 16 villages showcasing their food, culture, music and games. This is a celebration of cultural diversity for our whole community to enjoy. Prices are $5 per adult and $2 a child (5-16 year olds). For more information, contact Renee Nathan 021 992608.
Saturday, Nov 13: The Rotorua North Rotary Club Charity Flea Market. Open every Saturday next to the playground in Kuirau Park from 7am-1.30pm. A huge range of produce, food, goods and entertainment.
Saturday, Nov 13: Knock out breast cancer at the women's self-defence clinic - a two-hour workshop focusing on practical self-defence techniques for women. The workshop will be held at Sepaki-Thai-Boxing. Cost is $15 per head and all proceeds will go to Breast Cancer research. Call (022) 030 7028 to book your place.
