Ted

Comedy

Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis Seth MacFarlane

Director: Seth MacFarlane

Now showing at Reading Cinemas

4/5

When I went to see Ted, there was one person sitting a couple of seats away from me who was there for the third time.

He knew the dialogue and continuously
laughed out loud throughout the film.

If that's not a sign of a pretty funny movie, I don't know what is.

Ted is the movie about a real teddy bear who came to life because of a wish his best friend John made as a child. Decades on, Ted and John continue to be unseperable - but that's all put in jeopardy as John starts getting serious about his girlfriend of four years, Lori and nearly loses her because of Ted.

Ted puts a strain on the relationship and John comes close to losing his relationship with his love and his best friend.

But don't take things too seriously, don't forget the movie is about a talking teddy bear.

He talks (rudely), he's crude, has no manners, he walks, drinks alcohol, smokes weed and has sex ... and yes he manages to bed some decent looking women.

It's just totally something that is never going to happen in life, which makes it attractive and amusing to watch. I found myself giving some pretty loud laughs throughout the movie - and I wasn't the only one. There was a couple behind me who couldn't stop laughing throughout the movie and I have no doubt you'll find yourself doing the same.

If you're a Seth Macfarlane fan (of course you know him, he's the creator of The Family guy and co-creator of American Dad) you'll love this movie.

If you're a fan of humour that isn't politically correct, cringe-worthy and awkward moments, sexual piss-takes or

overused profanity, then make sure you check Ted out - it throws it all in there for you. It'll be like up a hilarious mash-up of un-PC comedy.
