They don't use brushes and they definitely don't do graffiti - it's all about manipulating paint into art.
New Zealand-based artists Dart and Ali will be in Rotorua on Sunday to present Dart's Space Art Travelling Art Show, and Dart says they use anything except brushes to paint. "We neveruse paint brushes, it's all about manipulating the paint."
Dart said they used things like paper, circular objects, plastic bags and bits of sponge. "We also play techno music while we paint to create an upbeat atmosphere."
The duo will be at the Soundshell Market at the Rotorua Lakefront on Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
Artwork will be for sale and comes in three sizes. Prices range from $15 to $50. "So it's not very expensive," Dart said.
