An Australian roots-reggae band will soon be performing in Rotorua as part of their nationwide tour.
The Floating Bridges will kick off their New Zealand tour towards the end of the month and promise to bring high-energy performances to their audiences.
The Floating Bridges, hailing from the Sunshine Coast inQueensland, have performed on numerous tours along the East Coast of Australia, spreading their message of peace and good times, and landing support slots with the likes of Jimmy Barnes and John Butler Trio. Known in their home region as one of the hardest-working bands in the business, the five-piece group will be spreading their infectious sounds for one reason - the love of music.
The band members say they are passionate about different cultures and said it was time to expand their fan base and get in touch with the New Zealand way of life.
During 23 days, The Floating Bridges will play 17 shows starting in Auckland on March 27, making their way over the North and South Islands, and finishing up in Christchurch on April 18.
The band will play at Lava Bar in Rotorua on April 3.
Brothers Rohan Nitshke (bass/vocals) and Cale Fisher (vocals/guitars) said they would bring their roots, rock, reggae sound, in its finest form, with a positive message and "a hell of a lot of energy".
"We have worked hard to build a live show that we believe is world class, with a tonne of energy shared between ourselves and the audience," they said.
