Raggamuffin 2012 is set to become even bigger with more artists to be announced in the next few weeks, including two major international acts.

Rotorua's annual reggae music festival at Rotorua International Stadium on January 28 will feature international headline act and former UB40 frontman Ali Campbell, Grammy Award-winning artist Billy Ocean, son of reggae legend, Maxi, and singer of the current top 40 track debut single Own This Club, Marvin Priest, US reggae group Big Mountain, The Wailers' Junior Marvin and Lucky Dube's daughter Nkulee Dube.

Joining the line-up of international artists on the main stage are Kiwi groups Kora and Three Houses Down.

Next year's Raggamuffin will mark the fifth anniversary of the event in Rotorua and to celebrate, it has been expanded to a two-day festival. Celebrations will start on January 27 on the Second Stage, Field 2 at the stadium with a mix of bands and DJs, including House of Shem, Cornerstone Roots, Sons of Zion, Sweet and Irie, Tomorrow People, Soljah, NRG Rising and Foundation along with DJs Sir-Vere, Poroufessor and Beau Zee.

It has just been revealed the festival is set to get even bigger with organisers saying more artists will be announced for Raggamuffin 2012 within the next month, including two major international acts and more New Zealand acts.

The announcement is expected in late October.

Meanwhile, Raggamuffin fans will also be able to book their Raggamuffin 2012 tickets now but pay later for the first time.

Concert-goers will be able to have the easy-pay option when booking tickets to the event, which attracts around 30,000 people.

The easy-pay option allows concert-goers to pay off their Earlybird tickets in instalments and are available from www.ticketmaster.co.nz now.

Raggamuffin promoter Andrew McManus said he wanted to make sure the event was as accessible as possible.

"We know how much New Zealanders love Raggamuffin and we want to make it as accessible as we can for everyone.

"Times are tough but that doesn't mean we can't have fun if we budget for it," he said.
