For Outrageous Fortune fan Jenel Jones the thought of the final episode in the final series of New Zealand's popular television drama series screening tonight overwhelms her with sadness.
The local woman, who is among thousands of fans who will bid the show goodbye after six seasons, said she had nevermissed an episode and was extremely sad to see the TV3 series end.
The mother of two said it was something her and her partner looked forward to every Tuesday evening and a show that could never be missed.
"I don't know what we're going to do with our time now. I'll have to find something else to keep me entertained, probably go get the box of Outrageous Fortune DVDs and watch them all again," she said.
Miss Jones said most of her friends, family and in-laws were fans of the show and often talked about it at either family gatherings or through text messages.
"When the show is on, we will text each other and make sure the other person is watching, too," she said. "I don't think I've missed any episode, or if I have I'll make up for it and make sure I get to watch it somehow."
She described the show as a humorous, typically Kiwi show with good storylines most people could relate to.
"The show always guarantees a good laugh and I'm very disappointed and sad it has come to an end," she said.
After religiously watching the show every week, Miss Jones said she enjoyed watching all the episodes and would miss the good laughs the West family gave.
Outrageous Fortune is about a family of current and former criminals living in West Auckland and is purported to be the longest-running comedy/drama made in New Zealand.
It was created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang and has won 60 awards for scriptwriting, acting, image and sound, editing and directing, as well as being voted the best drama and best show on New Zealand television.
The show's finale will screen at 8.30pm on TV3.
