Rotorua Boys' High School students are busy preparing for tonight's first performance of popular musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story.
Labelled the world's most successful rock 'n' roll musical, the show examines the three years in which Holly became the world's top recording artist in the late 1950s, beforehe died in a plane crash at the age of 22.
Rotorua Boys' High School student Eliot Fenton plays the iconic singer, and the show features more than 20 Buddy Holly hits including Peggy Sue, That'll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, Heartbeat and Raining In My Heart.
The show opens tonight at the Rotorua Boys' High School Memorial Hall and runs nightly until Saturday, with further shows on Tuesday and Thursday next week. Tickets from Ticketmaster.
