Mathias sautes up a tale or two

Author, television personality and chef Peta Mathias is heading to Rotorua.

Mathias is bringing her live, one-woman comedy stage show to Rotorua on March 22 as part of a six-centre tour.

She will also visit Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Taupo and Hastings, with the Taupo show on March 21.

Peta Mathias Live - An evening of storytelling, cooking, singing, and hilarity, will see the author, television personality and chef telling tall stories, ironing out the agonising problems of your life, sauteing up a storm, singing of lost love and explaining how egg whites can transform your life.

Mathias has been presenting her food and travel television shows, writing food books and hosting gastronomic tours for many years.

Her latest trio of books focuses on social commentary and relationships. And now she has put it all together in a stage show. From nurse, to drug and alcohol therapist, to singer, Parisian chef, author, television personality and international culinary tour host, Mathias has lived, loved and has the stories to tell.

With a show covering topics such as travel, relationships, sex, food, fashion and the whys and wherefores of being human, she is set to entertain local crowds.

In March this year, Mathias toured the lower South Island to sell out audiences.

A selection of her books, DVDs, olive oil and tea towels will be on sale, along with information about her culinary tours.

The Rotorua show will be held at the Rotorua Soundhsell with tickets available from TicketMaster and the Taupo show will be held at the Great Lakes Centre with tickets available from Ticketek.
