Taupo's Traceylee Hooton is another step closer to becoming New Zealand's next Master Chef.
In last night's episode of MasterChef New Zealand Mrs Hooton's snapper dish made it through to the final 11 contestants in the show.
In the challenge the final 12 contestants had to create a dish that was their
take on modern New Zealand cuisine using either snapper, lamb or fruit.
Last night's show also featured a special appearance by season one winner Brett McGregor.
Mrs Hooton said the combination of meeting him and moving into the MasterChef house really brought home that she was in the top 12 of the show.
Kathleen Te Raki, 33, was eliminated last night while Putaruru man Cameron Petley's dish was judged the best.
