Daily Post reporter Anita Moran talks about her progress with boot camp. Running. It is one of my least favourite things and yet this week I found myself running ... a lot. Okay, I admit it wasn't quite Forrest Gump running but it was enough to make me feel like I hadcompleted several back-to-back marathons. I have never been a runner and even though I like the idea of one day completing a marathon I just can't see it happening. As Bridal Boot Camp continues I do find my fitness levels increasing, but I am still trying to find the right balance between diet and exercise. Saturday saw a slip up on my diet and no-alcohol plan which led to Sunday being a bad food day, so bad in fact I struggled to keep up with my fellow boot campers at Monday morning's training session. On Monday we ran upstairs, downstairs, uphill, downhill and uphill some more. To me it was torture. I even had to rely on a fellow boot camper who had finished one of our challenges to help me finish mine. I was so relieved when 7am rolled around and it was home time. As the week progressed I was back on track with my eating plan and I am sure it helped me push through the rest of the week's training sessions. I even found myself going for a couple of runs on my own accord. Granted I wasn't pushing myself to run far or even at a fast pace, but exercise is exercise right? I must admit that I do struggle to stay motivated about going to boot camp but I have put so much effort in, it would be a waste to miss any of the sessions now. We only have two weeks of boot camp left and despite my moaning I am looking forward to seeing how much I have improved by the end of it, but fingers crossed there won't be too much running.
