American rock band Foo Fighters are taking to the stage in Auckland next week to raise money for Christchurch's earthquake appeal.
The band announced today they would play Auckland Town Hall on Tuesday, with all profits going to the Government's earthquake appeal.
They will also travel to Brisbane next week to raisefunds for the Queensland flood appeal.
Tickets go on sale for the all ages concert on Friday, priced from $175. Meanwhile, Hayley Westenra will lead the singing of the national anthem at Friday's National Memorial Service in Christchurch.
Westenra is returning from London, where she is based, to her home town to honour the lives lost after February 22's earthquake.
She sang the national anthem at a memorial service for London-based New Zealanders at Westminster Cathedral in London on March 2.
Dame Malvina Major and Dave Dobbyn will also perform at Friday's service.
They will join international guests at the memorial, including Prince William, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and that country's opposition leader, Tony Abbott.
