Festival regulars Brilleaux will be turning up the volume in Rotorua this weekend.
The Tauranga band are set to perform their "alternative British rhythm and blues" at the Belgian Bar on Saturday from 8pm.
Band singer and songwriter Graham Clark said it would be a memorable show.
"We always deliver 100 per centhigh energy shows," Clark said.
He described their style of music as a "really unique product".
"It's old school music performed in a new school way."
Brilleaux was formed in 1999 when Clark saw a gap in the market for his fresh interpretation of rhythm and blues music.
"There are hundreds of blues bands in New Zealand all playing the same thing but we wanted to do something different," he said.
The band usually perform orginal songs, with occasional covers thrown in, but Clark said people wouldn't be able to recognise the covers because they tried to perform them in such a different way.
Brilleaux have released six albums to date and are due to release their seventh this year.
The newest album is a live recording of an Auckland show they played in June.
Clark is the only full-time musician of the four band members but all of their music is self-funded.
"We are very proud that our music is not NZ on Air funded.
"We will never accept people's money to fund our music."
The band have played numerous festivals over the years in New Zealand and internationally, and are exploring the chance to play in England this time next year.
