If you're planning a wedding or love all things bridal, head to the Wedding Expo at Rotorua's Blue Baths - you may even find yourself a guest at a surprise mock wedding.
Blue Baths managing director Jo Romanes said the expo was held annually as a way for local couples who were getting married to find everything they needed.
She said it was an opportunity for people to meet suppliers, which was important because several businesses didn't have a shop.
She said many businesses would show their wares, from photographers, to audio visual companies and entertainers to florists.
"They will be able to see lots of different displays from the exhibitors," Mrs Romanes said.
She said there was also an opportunity to talk to businesses about less traditional wedding plans.
"Offroad NZ and Polynesian Spa will be available to talk about stag and hen nights."
Not only will people be able to see what is on offer for their wedding, they will also be able to talk to the businesses about their own ideas.
"A wedding is such a personal thing, establishing a relationship with your photographer or celebrant is important."
In addition to the displays at the expo, the Blue Baths Emerge Entertainment group will be performing a mock wedding at various times during the afternoon.
Mrs Romanes said this would allow expo guests the unique opportunity to "try before you buy".
"Our ceremony in the Tearoom will feature a rather quirky and surprising ending."
Last year's expo attracted hundreds of people through the doors and she was expecting the same this weekend.
She said people came from Rotorua and other parts of the Bay of Plenty, the Waikato region and Auckland to attend.
She said Rotorua was a good place to hold such events because there was ample accommodation available and there were many attractions for visitors.
"And Rotorua's a great destination for a wedding," Mrs Romanes said.
She is encouraging all Rotorua residents to attend this Sunday's expo. The Blue Baths Wedding Expo will be at the Blue Baths between midday and 4pm on Sunday and entry is $5.
