Humid conditions can be a real pain when deciding how to wear your hair, especially for work.

If you're the type of woman who regularly straightens her hair, these moist and warm conditions are not your friend.

You will often find that the way your hair looked when you left the house in the morning is not at all like the image that stares back at you from the mirror at lunchtime. No doubt, the straightened look will be replaced by a few frizzy out of place bits of hair or your hair would have had some not-so-flattering volume added to it.

Men, don't be surprised if a few of these ladies have a spare hair-tie on their wrist for these moments.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do to prevent bad hair on humid days.

You can invest in an anti-frizz serum to add in the morning as well as an anti-humidity hairspray. Depending on how frizzy your hair tends to get, you may be able to get away with using supermarket products. If your hair is pretty frizzy, I suggest heading to your salon and asking for recommendations on an anti-frizz serum that is specific to your hair type.

However, rather than focusing on how unfortunate your hair may look on these humid days you should think about the positive side - think about the time you'll save getting ready for work on those humid days. You may as well save yourself an extra few minutes in the morning and not put as much effort into straightening your hair as well as you would if you were going out for the night.

If you have long hair, an easy and cute way to avoid any humid hair problems is to wear it pulled back with a straight ponytail. This is suitable for work and a casual day off, too.

If your hair is naturally wavy, embrace it on those humid days. Wet your hair, throw in a little bit of hair mousse and then a multi-care oil such as the Redken All Soft Argan-6 oil, tie it up in a messy bun while you do your other morning duties before work and then pull it out as you walk out the door before giving it a quick flick through your fingers.

It's hardly any effort but you'll avoid going from sleek and straight to frizzy and bad.

If you're staying home that day and don't have to be anywhere you need to be made-up for, have a lazy day off and wear a cute hat.
