Individually Anika Moa, Boh Runga and Hollie Smith are amazing musical talents and now they're showing everyone just how much sense they make together.

The Kiwi musicians/singers/songwriters, who are each solo artists, have formed to make AnikaBoh&Hollie; - a new band which will tour as part of the 13-gig Classic Hits Acoustic Church Tour between October 4 and October 20.

The women, who were all friends before joining forces, have just released their first single as a trio - Be Mine - and they're excited to be sharing what they've created. But it doesn't stop at a single and a tour, you can expect a yet-to-be-named album packed with songs they've all helped to create in the near future too.

They've been spending quite a bit of time together, writing, jamming, drinking wine, having some laughs and enjoying each other's company and talents.

"We've been getting together pretty much most days," Moa said.

"Songs have come together really easily as well," Hollie said.

They're all fans of each other's work and don't have plans to bring any one else in anytime soon. Boh's voice and lyrical sense, Anika's guitar and editing skills and Hollie's melodies are just some of the attributes they enjoy about each other.

While it's been fun creating good music together, as solo artists, each with their own sound, one of the things they've had to get used to is being flexible with their music.

"We just want to write good songs," Anika said.

"Writing songs with other people you have to put your heart on your sleeve," she said.

They're excited to be heading on tour together and can't wait to perform in Rotorua.

"It's just as exciting opportunity and this will be fantastic ...especially in Rotorua it's just a beautiful community, thanks for having us."
