New Zealand's national cycleway will be marketed using a new  manual to be launched at TRENZ in May.
Eighteen new  trails, including Rotorua's Pathway of Fire and Taupo's Lake Track, will be promoted to international markets at the industry tourism expo in Queenstown by the Ministry for Economic Development's Nga Haerenga
Cycle Trail team.
Information on the trails  and on products around the trails will be included in a new product manual and tourism operators wanting to be included are urged to contact Craig Wilson by Thursday, March 31, on 027 2410549 or at craig@qualitytourism.co.nz.
The manual will be aimed primarily at tour wholesalers looking for new products at TRENZ and international contacts of the relevant regional tourism organisations and will be available from Tourism New Zealand's offshore offices.
It is also expected to be used to tell other tourism businesses about what is available and as a briefing document for Tourism New Zealand's international media programme.
As a PDF file, it will be suitable for emailing and website display.
The Cycle Trail team hope the manual will demonstrate to travellers and wholesale buyers that there is a "critical mass" of cycling experiences available in New Zealand and sell the national cycleway as a whole.
To be included  in the manual will cost operators $125 plus GST for one product and $100 plus GST for additional products.
