Learning how to set goals and then achieve them is part of the focus of a special three-hour workshop in Rotorua aimed at helping women break down obstacles and be successful.

The workshop is being held by coach Lietta Powell on February 14.

Attendees will learn how to set goals and achieve them, how to present a more confident image and time-mapping skills.

Ms Powell said the workshop was a "must attend" for any women who wanted to make positive changes in their lives to achieve their goals.

"The start of a new year is a great time to reflect on your working and personal lives and contemplate if you're living the life you want. We all have areas in our life we could bring about change. This workshop helps you learn to set goals, but more importantly how to develop a plan to be successful."

She said regardless of what stage of life - whether you're looking for your first job after leaving school, returning to work after children or simply looking for a change in career - the workshop would teach women how to set themselves up for success in any situation.

The workshop is split into two parts. The first half will be run by Ms Powell and cover how to determine want you want to achieve in life and how to make it happen.

"An important part of the session is the goal setting. To make changes you need to be clear with want you want to achieve. But more importantly you need to break down the steps to achieve them."

Time "management" was another important topic covered in the workshop.

"Crucial to success is time-mapping. We all lead busy lives so attendees will leave with a range of time management techniques that will make a difference to their lives and help them achieve success," Ms Powell said.

The workshop takes a holistic view on women achieving success and recognises that personal brand and style are an important part of a woman's confidence.

Rotorua's personal brand coach Leanne Mulcahy will lead part of the workshop with tips on personal branding.

"What's unique about this workshop is that it recognises a woman's self-confidence is intrinsically linked to her appearance. So part of the session provides tips on personal brand including style, make-up and hair."

The workshop is limited to 10 people to ensure everyone gets one-on-one time with the presenters. It is being held on Saturday, February 14, from 10am to 1pm at Flair Space on Haupapa St.

Cost is $95 and $5 of each registration is donated to breast cancer. To register contact office@in2ucoaching.com.
