Rotorua's Supreme Business of the Year award winners, Event Impressions, have collected the Nissan Qashqai they've won for the next year.

Nicholson Nissan Rotorua donated the branded car for them to use for 12 months; the first time a car has been included in the prize.

Event Impressions is an event planning and styling business that the couple first set up in Rotorua in 2002.

Managing director Jacqui Alexander, who founded the company with husband Jeff Alexander, said they were pretty lucky.

"Nissan has been very generous in setting us up for the year with such a beautiful branded car."

She said they wanted to thank Brad at Nissan who had been "absolutely terrific", but also Westpac and the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce.

"We're delighted to have it, it's only been a few hours but we did go out for a drive in it already.

"It got the seal of approval from the troops and a big thumbs up from one very excited 6-year-old."
