Police can now name the man who died in a single vehicle crash on State Highway 35 near Ōpōtiki on Tuesday, April 16.

He was Arnold Stephen Maraki, 54, of Kapiti Coast.

Police extended their sympathies to Maraki's friends and family at this difficult time.

The investigation continues into the cause of the crash.
