Police and St John Ambulance are attending a head-on crash on Jackson Rd at Hamurana, near Rotorua.

Initial indications were the drivers of both vehicles had minor injuries, a police communications spokesman said.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they were initially called to the incident but no one was trapped so they were stood down.
