A man who has pleaded not guilty to two charges of stealing from tourists has had his case put off until next week.
Douglas Paul Ngatai from Rotorua appeared in the Rotorua District Court today via audio visual link charged with two counts of theft.
The first charge alleged he
stole bags, clothing and personal items valued at $1500 from two tourists on October 1.
The second alleged he, and another person, stole an IBM laptop, clothing and personal items valued at $4140 from a tourist on October 5.
Judge Greg Hollister-Jones said because of an administration issue he wasn't able to deal with the matter today.
