A woman has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a crash at Rangitaiki.

The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was sent to the crash on the Taupo-Napier Rd just after 2pm yesterday.

A 49-year-old woman had serious arm and shoulder injuries and was flown to Rotorua Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

A further three people had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
