Police want help to find a man who robbed a Subway restaurant in Tokoroa armed with what's believed to be a handgun.
The robbery happened on Wednesday at 8.15pm.
A man walked into the restaurant on State Highway 1, armed with what was believed to be a handgun and demanded cash from a staff member, police said.
He made off with an amount of cash, leaving towards Tokoroa CBD.
The staff member was uninjured in the incident.
The man is described as being in his 30s, wearing a bandanna over his face.
Police are now appealing for information from anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
