Person dead after being hit by truck near Tokoroa

A pedestrian has been killed after being a hit by a truck near Tokoroa.

A person is dead after being hit by a truck on State Highway 1 near Tokoroa.

A police media spokeswoman said the crash happened just before 1.30pm.

Diversions and road closures are in place between Rolletts and Tamatea Rds and the Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
