UPDATE:
A woman has serious injuries after an unladen logging truck and mini tanker full of diesel collided in the Kaingaroa Forest.

The crash happened at the intersection of Boundary Rd and Pukeroa Rd just before 9am.

Northern fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond said six fire appliances from both Rotorua and Taupo were sent, although four were turned back before arriving at the scene.

Mr Osmond said none of the diesel spilled in the crash.

Two fire crews were still at the scene.
