Police have released the name of the 24-year-old woman killed in a car accident in Napier yesterday.

She is Theodora Anderson, an American living in New Zealand with a work Visa.

Ms Anderson was injured when a car crossed the centreline and collided with her vehicle on Prebensen Drive at about 8:20am on Tuesday the 24th of May.
She died as a result of her injuries later that evening.

Her passenger suffered minor injuries and is due to be released from hospital later today.
Police would like to thank the members of the public who stopped and assisted the people involved in the crash.

Particularly those members of the public who recognised the seriousness of the incident and closed the road to traffic to help keep those assisting at the scene safe.
