7#149; Strong field for men's golf classic
A good field is expected to tee off this weekend in the 30th annual Freshco City of Whangarei 54-hole Men's Golf Classic at the Sherwood Park Golf Club in Maunu.
A group of 10 Auckland junior development squad members will be making the trip north to test their game against Northland's best golfers, most of whom have entered. The tournament also serves as a trial for various Northland men's teams. There are still spots left in the field and any one wanting to play should ring either Steve Byles on (09) 434 6900 ext 2 or the shop on (09) 434 6235. Entry fee is $70 and the prize table once again will be worth $10,000.
