One Kaupapa…..Two Kura…..Four Whare
Our Kura Tuakana is designed to assist ākonga (students) become self-directed, resilient, lifelong learners in the 21st century, with a deep appreciation of being Māori in a global world.
Paetawhiti Whare: Year 9 – 10: is an integrated programme across all core curriculum areas, building ākonga learning capability, knowledge foundations and self-efficacy.
Paerangi Whare: Y11–13: is a deliberate programme designed to introduce ākonga to the real world with 3 Faculties and several NCEA streams each.
- Compulsory core subjects are English, Maths and Māori. Kia Māori informs the curriculum across the whole kura.
- Vocational options are delivered through partnership with NorthTec, Taratahi and other tertiary providers.
We are seeking dynamic Pouako who are experienced or keen to work in an innovative curriculum and a 21st century learning environment. You will have at least one strength but the ability to teach across one or more other subjects at the junior level and NCEA and have:

A robust pastoral care system within a Māori framework
Commitment to student-centred, evidence-based decision making
