The Ministry of Education is establishing a Teen Parent Unit in Kaikohe, due to open Term One 2016. The unit will provide educational opportunities for young women whose education has been delayed by pregnancy and/or childcare responsibilities. The person appointed to this positionwill have overall responsibility for a small team of teachers and between 20 and 30 students. They must be a fully registered teacher with secondary school teaching experience and be conversant with the NZQA qualifications environment. The successful applicant will commence work in Term Four 2015.
