Northland's charitable trusts will be eligible for a late Christmas present this year - a share of $325,000.
Kamo's Ann McAteer has the money sitting in the bank as a result of selling Carelink North, the operational arm of Northland Home Support Trust.
The trust sold Carelink last December and is now
dissolving itself.
But rather than simply have the money gaining interest, Mrs McAteer, who was the manager of the Carelink North, said the trust wants to donate it to other charitable trusts in the region.
"At this stage we're just looking for expressions of interest," she said. "The money could be all given to the same organisation, or spread between a few - it will be our decision when the applications come through."
Any charitable trust is invited to apply directly to Mrs McAteer, with the name and nature of the trust, what the money is required for, and contact details. Letter should be sent to PO Box 7030, by 5pm on January 31, 2007.
Northland Home Support Trust was operating in Northland for almost 10 years, providing home health care to the elderly and disabled communities.
