Kerikeri officers renew appeal for help No one has yet been arrested for throwing bleach into a regional council worker's face in a vicious highway attack in June.

The Far North police are still calling for information from anyone who might know something about the men who forced the victim to stop on a layby at the corner of State Highway 10 and Oromahoe Rd, held a knife to him, threatened him, and threw bleach into his eyes and face.

At least two men were involved in the attack on the 45-year-old Northland Regional Council monitoring officer at 7am on June 10.

He had pulled over on the layby when the car following him repeatedly flashed its lights.

The attackers took his wallet and cellphone before continuing south towards Pakaraka. The man received specialist eye treatment but did not suffer permanent damage to his sight.
