Two more smokefree cafes
More help is in place to stop customers having a cigarette with their cuppa as two more Whangārei cafes opt for smokefree outdoor seating. Milk & Honey in Kamo and The Deck in Reotahi have joined 24 other cafes across the district that ban smoking in their outdoor dining areas. Following the three-month Fresh Air Project Whangārei, where cafes in the CBD made outdoor areas smokefree, all the city's cafes were invited to do the same. Customer feedback showed 94 per cent support for the move, the Northland District Health Board's Smokefree co-ordinator said.
