The winner of Northland's latest Lotto prize has already claimed their winnings.
The region's recent Lotto luck continued on Saturday night when a ticket sold at Dargaville Four Square was one of four to win $250,000 in Saturday's first division Lotto draw.
The other three tickets were sold in Pt Chevalier Lotto Plus in Auckland, Geraldine Books & Post in Geraldine and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday, where the jackpot will be $7 million.
Lotto spokesperson Jessica O'Sullivan confirmed yesterday the prize had been claimed.
"It's a good start to a Sunday morning for them."
However she was unable to confirm if the lucky winner was a local person.
Dargaville Four Square were unable to be reached yesterday for comment on selling one of the winning tickets.
The winning numbers from Saturday's draw were: 3, 14, 21, 25, 34, 35. The bonus was 23 and Powerball was 10.
On April 4, a Northlander won $8.3m with a ticket bought on MyLotto. The winnings was made up of $8m from Powerball and $333,333 from Lotto.
The prize sat unclaimed for just over a week.
The anonymous Northland grandmother didn't bother to check her ticket until last Thursday night, despite hearing a big prize had been won in the region.
She thought it had been claimed. But her daughter called for a catch up and she learned the prize was still unclaimed after an article in the Northern Advocate.
"When she mentioned that my ears pricked up straight away. I thought 'oh I better check mine, there is still hope'," said the winner.
Only days earlier in the Easter draw on March 31, two winning first division tickets for the same draw were sold at Pak'nSave. Each punter picked up $166,667.
