The latest graduates from Training For You's Healthcare level 2 programme are on their way to higher learning or employment.

Nine students graduated from the Whanganui training provider's programme at a recent ceremony, with the course achieving a 100 per cent pass rate.

The 13-week healthcare course, run three times a year, prepares students for employment in aged care facilities or for higher learning.

"Right from the start the group were very engaged with their learning, and were focused - I just knew they were passionate about completing and gaining the qualification," tutor Vanessa Seconi said.

Don Arachchige and Tina Austin have started higher learning with UCOL Whanganui. Arachchige is studying the New Zealand certificate in health and wellbeing, Level 4 (social and community services) and Austin has commenced the New Zealand diploma in enrolled nursing, Level 5.
