Napier Boys' High School has returned to the winning circle in road-running teams' racing by taking a junior boys' gold medal in the three-man category at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Track and Field championships.
Led by Christian Leopard, who won an individual bronze medal in the event, Napier's pointsvictory followed recent-year triumphs in the championships's road races by Toa Iaveta-Elphick in the junior road race in 2010, and the schools senior teams' victory in 2007.
Others in this year's team were Devon Beckman and Zach Gedye.
