Summer has well and truly arrived as the Bay is set for another balmy week of warm weather.
MetService meteorologist Stephen Glassey said a front that cleared the North Island yesterday morning had paved the way for a spate of sunshine.
"It will be predominantly fine for most of theweek in Hawke's Bay with a few isolated showers on Wednesday morning."
A weak front will be moving over the region late tomorrow but will be the only sprinkling in what should be a dry week with just a few gentle sea breezes coming off the coast.
Tomorrow will see fine spells and light winds with a southeasterly developing in the late afternoon.
"With the westerly flow over the country the eastern area will get warmer."
MetService recorded a toasty 27.5C at Napier Airport on Saturday.
Temperatures will hover around the mid to late twenties with the low not dropping below 12C.
A scorching Saturday evening next weekend is forecast for the kick off of the Black Barn's concerts which will feature Kora, Katchafire and Sons of Zion opening the summer series.
The hot and dry conditions prompted the Hastings District Council to impose a restricted fire season last week.
Napier City Council is also expected impose a restricted fire season today.
A restricted fire season means people can not have open air fires without a permit.
People were advised to burn only in suitable conditions which meant observing the wind direction to avoid any smoke nuisance to neighbours.
