A logging truck has rolled, blocking a state highway near Wairoa.

Police were called to the crash between Rangiahua Rd and Titirangi Rd near Frasertown on SH38 (Lake Rd) at 9.18am today.

The truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

However, the road was almost completely blocked by the truck and some logs that came loose in the crash, a police spokesperson said.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi closed the road and had a crane on-site to clear the area as at 1pm.
