Two people became trapped after a cherry picker rolled on Flag Range Rd in Sherenden, Hawke's Bay on Monday.

The Hastings fire brigade began

freeing them about 4.50pm.

A St John ambulance spokesperson said the two were transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

On Tuesday morning a Hawke's Bay DHB spokesperson said one person, a female in her 50s, remained in a serious condition and the other, a male in his 50s is in a stable condition.
