Three people are in a stable condition at Hawke's Bay Hospital following a crash on the outskirts of Hastings last night.

A police spokesperson confirmed a car had hit a power pole on Omahu Rd at the intersection of Kirkwood Rd, with police first notified at 5.20pm.

A spokesperson for St John confirmed at the time that three people had been transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital, two in a serious condition one in a moderate condition.

A Hawke's Bay District Health Board spokeswoman said a female in her 30s, an infant and a school-aged child were involved.
