Thousands enjoyed fine wine, good food and sweet beats at the fourth annual Bridge Pa Wine Festival on Saturday.

Eight wineries in the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District offered their products paired with tasty treats and musical entertainment with buses between each venue.

Event co-ordinator Paul Ham said more than 2000 people turned out for the event and coped very well in the heat.

"Everyone did a great job pacing themselves, drinking lots of water and enjoying themselves under those conditions.

"Rosé was one of the drinks of choice of the day."

The buses ran smoothly and did a great job taking everyone between wineries, he said.

The festival catered to people of all ages with a wide variety of people attending.

"Everyone found elements of the festival which they enjoyed."

The festival got better each year with organisers being able to build on their experience each time and the quality of the entertainment this year was very high, Mr Ham said.

Visitors came from Wellington, Palmerston North, Taupo, Rotorua and around Hawke's Bay.

The wineries involved were Abbey Estate, Alpha Domus, Ash Ridge, Ngatarawa, Oak Estate, Paritua, Red Metal and Sileni.
