*    On the subject of zebra crossings, can the one on the main road in Clive have some white paint please. It's in a terribly dangerous state.

*    Children's Xmas party at Splash Planet and we had to watch a group of teenagers all smoking. When I asked staff about this I was told Splash Planet is not smoke free. What is going on HDC? Sort it out, this is disgusting.

*    All you people knocking John Key stop thinking of yourself and think of the country.

*    Cruise ships don't stay long because the Port of Napier charges too much to dock here.

*    To Heather Skipworth and her awesome IronMaori whanau, I can now say I have completed a 21km run, alongside my teammates Erana and Kelly Webber who swam and cycled for team Activate. What a high running past strangers, whanau and friends clapping and cheering me all the way to the finish line. And to the male stranger who helped me when I struggled towards the end, only at IronMaori. Ka Pai Koutou, see you all next year. I have already planned my next half marathon. Arohanui, Dannevirke Activators

*    Great to see our community police walking around Maraenui/Onekawa area. Please keep it up with your cherry wave and hello. Good for your health too. I believe this is a frequent event.

*    Re. Orchard sprays are not poisoning us: Well I grew up bordering a orchard and 30 years down the track all the elders in our street have died from cancer - coincidence?

*    The singing of the anthems during the Rugby World Cup by all the choirs and guest singers was absolutely beautiful. It was a brilliant idea to have choirs at all the games. I enjoy the replays of the singing. Well done.

*    Why do people think seeing a picture or model of a baby/foetus means they have to tell their kids about abortion?

*    Takeaways cheaper than healthy food? Cheese is not needed in diet, calcium is and you can get that from powdered milk. Ice cold choc flavour is low fat and cheap.

*    Fantastically funny night at 7days! Highly recommended next time round. The 7days cast did a flipping good night. SB Taradale

*    I agree, time to legalise marijuana. The hemp industry could make us a very rich country!

*    It's courtesy to stop and wait if a car is going to stop for you rather than walking across as if the speed bumps in Havelock North are pedestrian crossings.

*    Re Taradale toilets: That's nothing - take a look at Havelock domain toilets. Looks like they are not cleaned. They are disgusting.
