Stockcar driver remains critical

Hawke's Bay stockcar driver Peter Barry remains in a critical but stable condition in Wellington Hospital with head injuries received during the weekend's Palmerston North superstock teams championship.
His wife, Andrea Barry, said this morning Barry's condition hadn't changed since he was operated on while in an induced coma on Saturday.
``It's a waiting game now and only Peter can determine how long it takes.'
She has been inundated with calls of support and said the family appreciated it.
A Central Hawke's Bay farmer, Barry, was racing for the Kihi Kihi Kings when he was concussed after colliding with the wall in their race against the Hawke's Bay Hawkeyes on Friday night.
He was flown to Wellington Hospital early on Saturday.
